Not to be confused with the European Spanish dub. |
¡Wow! ¡Wow! ¡Wubbzy! is the Latin American Spanish dub of the show of the same name. This one along with a few more acquired by Discovery on the region was separately dubbed in different countries by seasons, starting from Venezuela to Chile, so in the Chilean dub the actors were changed and songs were redubbed from the previous dub, despite this the show was still airing on Discovery Kids until 2016.
Due to Discovery's rule requiring episodes to be 22 minutes for complying only on channel's airings and schedule, a bunch of shorts and songs were cut on the channel's airings and Discovery+, and also few scenes on Episodes only also on channel's airings and Discovery+, this as well would affect the Brazilian dub also only on the channel's airings and as they had the same masters.
Broadcast[]
The dub would began its production when Discovery LATAM acquired the show's rights as announced on mid-2007 by Variety and PRODU, it was set to air on Discovery Kids over all Latin America for beefing up the channel's schedule[1][2], M&M Studios in Caracas was in charge on doing it. Meanwhile, during the 5 months of wait, the channel itself began promoting the show through commercials[3] and the website.
The show debuted on October 8th, 2007[4] at 10:30pm (UTC-3) on both Argentina and Pan-regional feed[5], in Mexico it would premiere at 8:30am premiering episodes at the same timeslot[6] the first 5 episodes were premiered weekly, in the next 2 months they started releasing them 2 days at the week until 2008, the Second Season debuted on April 12, 2009, However, the Easter episode was the first released as the Premiere was during the channel's Easter special.
Another episodes were premiered during various special in 2009, such as Halloween, "La vuelta al Mundo"[7] with the premiere of the first 4 Wubb Idol episodes in November 2009, the rest would premiere at September 2010, and "25 regalos de Doki"[8].
Discovery Kids wasn't the only channel airing the show over the region, Canal ONCE in Mexico aired the first season on Weekdays until April 2012 where the show enters a 1 week hiatus until May 5, 2012 moving to Weekends[9], 11 months later the show would leave the channel's schedule at March 3, 2013[10].
After years of reruns, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! would finally leave the Discovery Kids' schedule in Mexico on July 5, 2016[11], this varied for the other feeds, the last known date airing for the rest of Latin America was August 2016[12][13], but repeats aired from this week to July 2017.
Release[]
Shortly after Discovery+ Brazil added the show to its catalog, in June 2022 the streaming service would add Spanish audiotrack to it, but for unknown reasons, this never applied for Season 1.

Season 1[]
Trivia[]
- Earl was renamed to Muggy in this dub.
- This also happened in the British English and Brazilian Portuguese dubs too.
- On the first Season 1 airings, the titles were unlocalized, leaving the show's logo with the Nick Jr. logo above it.
- Although in the first episode the VA says "La Mejor Cola de Todas" the localization says "Una Colas Como Todas".
- On Season 2 the Kooky Kid says "Ay, que miedo" instead of "Chiflado".
- In almost all episodes after the credits were produced by Discovery.
- In a few Season 2 episodes the website (wubbzy.com) gotten censored.
- This is because Discovery didn't want to promote sites which weren't from their property.
Goofs[]
Some of the errors listed here do not apply for the Brazilian dub.
- In "El comelon" the title card used was from "A ganar la carrera".[15]
- In "Hora de correr", when Wubbzy screams for help his screams are muted.
- In "La peluqueria de Daizy" the song "A saltar de felicidad" after the "Robot Bitrola" segment got cut at the start, this shows an error where the line "Saltaremos sin descansar" was replaced by "Jazz o Country, o Rock y Pop".
- In "Salven a los Wuzzlys" the song "The Wubbzy Wiggle" was left in Instrumental for an unknown reason.
