- The special was advertised by Minimax as being an installment in the Equestria Girls franchise, despite this not being true. Therefore, it was appointed a misleading title which labels it as being such; said title is even read out in the title voice-over. The same thing happened in Rainbow Roadtrip.
- Limestone Pie's first line was muted, while the second was provided by a male voice actor.
