Базз Лайтер is one of two Russian dubs of Lightyear. This dub was produced by Cinema Tone Production in Kazakhstan and was released in Armenia on an unknown date.

Despite the dub being produced in Kazakhstan, where it was planned to be released on July 15, 2022, the film was banned from screening after the country's Culture and Sports Minister responded to complaints from local conservative and religious groups regarding the film's inclusion of a same-sex kiss between Alisha Hawthorne and her female partner. Homosexuality is seen as taboo in Kazakhstan, where same-sex relationships are not recognized, although there had been no instances of LGBT content experiencing censorship in the country before this. It also resulted in the film not seeing a release in Kyrgyzstan, where films are released via Kazakhstani distributors.

This is the main, official Russian dub of the film, which is authorized by Disney. In Russia itself, due to sanctions, an unlicensed dub was produced by Red Head Sound and released in Russia and Belarus on an unknown date.
