Клуб Винкс - Школа волшебниц is one of two Russian dubs of Winx Club. Premiering on STS on April 21, 2008, this dub aired on several networks over the years, including Karusel and Gulli Girl, with Karusel premiering the second half of season 7 and all of season 8 instead of STS. Currently, it airs on Karusel and Ani. This dub was used for airings of season 7 on Nickelodeon in Russia as well, but seasons 3-6 and the four one-hour specials used another dub, produced in Ukraine by DR Studios with the title Уинкс клуб, specifically for Nickelodeon.
Being the most popular Russian dub of the series, all eight seasons were dubbed, as well as the four one-hour specials. It is commonly referred to as the STS Russian dub of the series by fans to help identify it seperately from the Nickelodeon dub.

- Like most international dubs, Aisha is renamed to Layla (Russian: Лейла) for unspecified reasons.
- An infamous thing about this dub is the voice actors' moaning, most infamously Layla when she is climbing the rock in S2E1, which many perceived to sound overly sexual. This resulted in this dub being infamous in the show's fandom, where these moans have become memes, and minor controversy with parents.
- However, according to Yekaterina Semyonova, the cast was simply trying to imitate the English version.
- In the first twelve episodes of season 1 when they originally aired on STS, the opening theme song "Under the Sign of Winx" used the season 1 instrumental and different lyrics. However, since the first version was poorly adapted, the seasons 2-3 version was used for the rest of the season and for the entire season in all re-releases, which has another instrumental and improved lyrics.
- Several songs are performed in a lower key in this dub, with the instrumentals pitched down to fit, due to Yekaterina Semyonova being an alto while the original versions of the songs were usually sung by sopranos.
- While the dub was mainly released without localised texts, the DVD release of seasons 3 and 4 features subtitles for the credits in the opening title sequence, and, starting from July 3, 2023, Karusel’s reruns of seasons 4-8 have the title cards localised.
- Sati Akura, a Russian VTuber, cover singer and fandubber, was invited to the production of the eighth season's dub to perform backing vocals in songs.[1]
- For seasons 1-4, except in the first episode and the title card redub of season 4 episode 1, there was only one male voice actor, Denis Bespalyy. He left after season 4, since he felt underpaid for this role.
- The lyrics for the season 6 ending credits song, "Living the Magic", were largely taken from the fandubbing group MoRwY, whose version had come out six months before the official dub. The lyrics for other season 6 songs, namely "Mythix", "We Will Rock the World", and an additional unnamed track were allegedly written by a fan under the pseudonym of Eric Gordon.
- This is one of Yekaterina Semyonova's first dubbing roles.
Errors[]
- In S1E1:
- Knut's scream is missing.
- Yekaterina Semyonova's lines during Stella's transformation are delivered wrong. She does not shout "Solaria!" long and loud enough, and then the transformation song (which she was also meant to sing) is just spoken over the instrumental. However, the latter seems like a direction issue, potentially treating the song lyrics like a spell.
- In S1E9, Musa's quip at Stella is played during Stella's line instead of where it was in the Italian version.
- This is probably because the English Cinélume version missed the line and Russian added it back.
- In S2E7, excerpts of the Italian-pitched instrumental for the transformation song "We Girls are the Winx" are left intact before and after the dubbed version, which uses a lower-pitched instrumental.
- In S3E16, the audio from Stella's Enchantix in S3E8 is used for both Enchantix transformations.
- In S3E19, one of Digit's lines is said by a pitched up deep voice.
- During the premiere on TV, S4E1's title was incorrectly translated as "The Witch Hunters" (Russian: Охотники на ведьм). After receiving complaints, STS redubbed the title card segment to change it to "The Fairy Hunters" (Охотники на фей), albeit with a different voice actor, as Denis Bespalyy - who previously did the narration for titles - left the project after season 4, and the redub was done after that.[2]
- Because of SV-Double receiving the music and sound effects separately rather than as a single M&E track, and subsequently not mixing them properly, in most episodes of season 4, sound effects are constantly out of sync with the music track.
- In S4E3, Bloom mistakenly calls Tecna, "Tecla" when the latter is typing on her computer.
- Throughout all of season 4, the audio from S4E6 (including sound effects) is used for the Believix transformations in each episode.
- In S4E19, Flora's VA says the transformation phrase "Winx Sophix" instead of Bloom's.
- In S4E26, the instrumental for "Heart of Stone" audibly glitches.
- In S5E2, Layla says the word "Tritannus" three times.
- In S5E3, Layla says both her and Icy's spells and Icy's line ends up missing.
- In S5E6, Bloom doesn't say the name of the transformation before their Harmonix sequence.
- In S5E7, the Harmonix acapella for Musa, Tecna, and Bloom's Harmonix transformation is missing and the song is left with just the instrumental.
- In S5E8, The acapella for Harmonix is off-sync.
- In S5E11, Stella's lines when she is attacked by a fish are missing.
- For unknown reasons, when digitising the betacams for the release of season 4 on DVD, some parts of the episodes were lost, such as the ending in episode 11 and several fragments in episode 15 (general frame loss).
- Ani is notorious for broadcasting the series in the wrong chronological order. For example, on December 29, 2020, when marathoning season 2, the TV channel skipped episodes 15 and 16 and showed episode 18 twice. On December 31 of the same year, when the TV channel was showing a marathon of season 4, episode 21 was skipped. On July8 , 2023, when airing season 3, episode 10 was broadcast between episodes 22 and 23.
- Each time S3E5 is shown on Ani, during one moment of the transformation sequence, a fragment of the jingle of its sister channel, Russia 1, can be heard.[3][4]
