- This is the first piece of SpongeBob SquarePants media to have its Russian dub produced in Israel, as Netflix stopped commissioning dubs in Russia due to the country's invasion of Ukraine. For that reason, it is also the first piece of media in the franchise to have a completely different cast from that of the series.
- However, the first film had previously received a Russian voice-over produced by Elrom Studios in Israel.
- Long before the release of the trailer on Netflix, Videofilm International would post a video to their Instagram and TikTok accounts featuring both of SpongeBob's voice actors in Russian and Hebrew, Alexander Naparin and Ido Mosseri / עידו מוסרי. Likely due to the video revealing Naparin's involvement, it was later removed from both platforms.
