Шрек 3 is the Ossetian dub of Shrek the Third. It was planned to release during 2007, but underwent a significant hindrance of production.

In the mid 2000s, the group of Ossetian voice actors and dubbing professionals from Shrek 2, led by veteran Ossetian dubbing director Guram Karsanov, began work on an Ossetian language dub of the 2007 animated film Shrek the Third. This dubbing project was unaffiliated with the official Shrek film series and its distributor DreamWorks Animation.
Production Stage / Suspension[]
The dubbing progressed well in its early stages, with around 20-25 minutes of the film already dubbed into Ossetian by the year 2007. However, the production then hit a major roadblock due to "personal circumstances" of one of the key participants. After this setback, the project fell into limbo as the dubbing team became scattered, with members relocating to different cities and taking on other commitments. Despite efforts to reunite the team, the Ossetian dub had to be suspended indefinitely.
Aftereffects[]
Many involved expressed disappointment that the film never reached completion, with Karsanov voicing a desire to "gather everyone who has successful experience in dubbing and prepare new works." While South Ossetia now has the infrastructure and talent to undertake ambitious dubbing projects, the energy and enthusiasm of the earlier Shrek dub effort has not been revived. As of 2024, the prospect of the Shrek the Third Ossetian-dubbing being completed remains uncertain.
