בובספוג: הסרט is the Hebrew dub of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. It was released on VHS and DVD in Israel on December 2005.
The film was dubbed at Elrom Studios and not at N.L.S. Studios, where the series was dubbed before moving to Ullman Media in 2013. The dubbing of the film was directed by Ido Mosseri, who also voices SpongeBob himself.
Sharon Cohen was supposed to be the film's dubbing director. But for privacy reasons, he could not direct the film and could only record his own lines when he dubbed the French Narrator at the beginning of the film. The direction was transferred to Ido when Neta Ben Zvi, the technician at the studio, offered him to direct the film. The recording of the dubbing took about 10 days, when the reason for changing the voice actors of Mr. Krabs and Plankton stemmed from the time pressure of the production of the dubbing, Ido Mosseri's desire to find a voice actor with the same tone of voice as the English version of Plankton, and the moment-to-moment availability of Ohad Shachar for the recording. The song "Bobby Peanut" was recorded at N.L.S. Studios, unlike the movie, when Uzi Fox (the dubbing producer of the series at the time) and the dubbing technician of the series assisted in the dubbing production of the song.
The Hebrew dubbing was only distributed in the DVD and VHS versions of the film, and was not shown in the film's theatrical release.
