Broadcast[]

Gullane era[]

תומס הקטר first debuted on Hop! in Israel in February 2000, and was one of the first acquired programs that aired on the channel. Its original run ended in 2005 after two seasons.

HiT / Mattel era[]

After the original run of the series on Hop! ended in 2005, in 2009, the series premiered on Educational 23 under the same name. The original run of the series on Educational 23 ended in early-2013.

In September 2013, the series returned to Hop!, and season 15 began airing on the channel. It serves as a direct continuation of the dub on Educational 23. However, the dubbing studio was changed, along with the entire voice cast. Season 17 began airing in November 2015, and season 20 began airing in May 2017.(specify?)

Big World! Big Adventures![]

Big World! Big Adventures! began airing on Hop! in November 2018. Its original run on the channel ended in late-2019, airing seasons 22 and 23 only.(specify?)

On January 21, 2021, 19 episodes from season 24 were added to Noga Communications' BIGI VOD service, with the last episode being added in a later date in the same year.(specify?) It marks the first time to be available on the service, after many years of the series airing on Hop!, as well the first season to be dubbed in DubiDub Studios; however, most of the voice cast was kept from the seasons that were dubbed in Videofilm International.

Release[]

In 2010,(specify?) the Israeli company Clasikaletet, in partnership with Hop!, released a DVD which contains 9 episodes from the Gullane era.[4]

Notes[]

  • This dub is incomplete, as seasons 3–7, 10-11, 16, 18–19, and 21 were not dubbed.
    • In addition, the episodes Thomas' Christmas Party, Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree, The Missing Christmas Decorations, Santa's Little Engine, Letters to Santa, The Christmas Coffeepot, and Over the Hill were not dubbed to Hebrew due to them being Christmas-themed episodes.
  • This, along with American English, Latin American Spanish, Finnish and French are the only languages of the CGI series to have voice actors that both narrate and voice characters.
  • In season 24, the intro, "The Journey Never Ends", "Engine Roll Call" and "Let's Dream" songs were retranslated and rerecorded, due to the dubbing studio being changed from Videofilm International to DubiDub Studios.
  • In 2009–2019, seasons 1–2 and 8–9, along with seasons 3–7 and 10-11 that weren't dubbed before, aired on JimJam with a new dub.
    • Nir Ron is the only cast member from this dub to voice in the redub. In addition, Elrom Studios, the dubbing studio for the first two seasons in this dub, also worked on the redub.

Errors[]

  • In seasons 15–24, HiT Entertainment's name was mistransliterated as "Hit Intertaiment". Several names of the original production crew were poorly transliterated as well, including Sharon Miller being misidentified as male.
