الأبوان السحريان is one of several Arabic dubs of The Fairly OddParents. It is the first Arabic dub of the series, produced in Egypt and dubbed in the Egyptian Arabic dialect.
Unlike the other Arabic dubs of the series, all 10 seasons of the series were covered in this dub.
Broadcast history[]
MBC 3[]
فيرلي اود بيرينتس first premiered on MBC 3 on 2005 after acquiring the rights from Nelvana and commissioned the dubbing to Pro Production in Egypt. The first four seasons as well as the first half of the fifth season were dubbed and aired on the network until 2009. In 2011, MBC Group acquired the rights for the show again, but this time from Viacom (currently known as Paramount Global), and instead, they commissioned the dubbing to another Egyptian studio, Neo Productions, who are known for dubbing Nickelodeon shows in Arabic. Only the second half of season 5 and onwards were aired within the "Nickelodeon on 3" block. (despite the fact that some MBC 3 promos used the Nelvana distributed episodes instead of the Nickelodeon distributed episodes)[1] The show title was also changed to الأبوان السحريان, and aired on the network again until 2020.
Disney Channel[]
فيرلي اود بيرينتس premiered on Disney Channel on 24 February 2006, the first three seasons as well as a part of the fourth season were aired on the network. However, the network has also aired the Jordanian and Lebanese dubs for the majority of season 4 and season 5. It concluded its broadcast in 2011.
Nicktoons[]
الأبوان السحريان debuted on Nicktoons on 15 February 2017, only season 5b and onwards were aired on the network, as season 1-5a were distributed by Nelvana. And unlike MBC 3 airings of the dub, Nicktoons airs it completely uncensored. The dub stopped airing on the network in early 2023, but has returned since mid 2024. For some reason, the dub has never aired on the Nickelodeon network proper, despite the fact that the proper network aired Grow Up, Timmy Turner! as well as Fairly Odder.

الولدان السحريان was hosted on Netflix from 2018 to 2020, only the third season was hosted. Since October 2023, the dub has been readded to the service, but only the seventh season.

Notes[]
- The title of the series changes the figure of Cosmo and Wanda from 'godparents' to 'magical parents'. This is because in Islam there is no figure of godparents, which is more associated with Christianity. This is technically not a censorship, but a simple cultural adaptation, since godparents are only common in Arab countries with a significant minority of Christians.
- During its broadcast on Disney Channel, the Nicktoons logo was blacked out, showing only Viacom's copyright text, possibly due to legal restrictions.
- In this dub, Timmy is voiced by an adult man.
- On MBC 3 (second half of season 5 till season 8), title cards as well as show title had localization, and also staff credits, everything else remained text untouched.
- The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour special was the only episode that was dubbed into Standard Arabic due to the fact that The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius was dubbed into Standard Arabic. Despite this, the two other specials were dubbed into Egyptian Arabic.
