- In 2003, this dub was re-released, redubbing the Circle of Life, and making subtle changes to dialogue.
- Hesham Noor / هشام نور (Simba) and Amani Shawqi / أماني شوقي (Nala) are cousins.
- This was the second Disney film to be dubbed in Arabic, the first being Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
- Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra (the voice of Scar) was chosen world-widely by Disney as the best voice for his character.
- The voices of Zazu, Rafiki, and Shenzi would reprise their roles in the 2013 Standard Arabic dub.
- They would also reprise their roles in the Egyptian and Standard Arabic version of the 2019 remake, with the exception of Momen El-Bardisi / مؤمن البرديسي (Rafiki) who passed away in 2015.
