ساحة المرح is one of two Arabic dubs of The Backyardigans. The dub first ran on Baraem from 2013 to 2015. Jeem TV has since picked up the show, broadcasting two runs of the fourth season during Spring 2017; Majid Kids TV aired the show in the same year.

This dub only covers the fourth season. None of the previous three seasons were dubbed.

A modification of this dub, featuring the same Lebanese voice work but with background music and songs being removed, has aired on Basma and Al-Majd.

Al-Majd version[]

Basma and its primary associate Al-Majd formerly broadcasted a modified version of this dub, titled الرفاق المرحون (tr. The Cheerful Friends). It features the same vocal work as the Super M Productions dub, but all the background music and songs have been removed to comply with strict Islamic teaching. The episodes were also shortened.

This version covers all the episodes that were covered in the original Lebanese dub.

Most dubs that air on Basma are usually not direct modifications of pre-existing dubs like this one is, but are instead typically recorded in Jordan. However, like those dubs, a different opening theme with an original arrangement was made by the channel and used in this dub.

Notes[]

  • The episode "The Action Elves Save Christmas Eve" never aired with this dub, as Christmas is not an official national holiday celebrated within the Muslim world, so no Arabic version has been produced.
  • "Catch that Train!" was never broadcast during the series' run on Jeem TV.
  • Broadcasts on Majid feature an alternate title card than that of Baraem and Jeem TV's.
  • The master edit for the Majid-broadcasted episodes feature title cards that are slightly different than that of the ones broadcasted on Baraem/Jeem:
    • Majid's footage features the open-iris title card with the episode's title at the bottom, in the similar manner of a subtitle.
    • The original footage broadcasted on Baraem/Jeem TV, like a regular title card would, feature a colored, styled text for the episode's title appearing at the center of the screen.
    • The "Robot Rampage" parts are the only episodes to have the master footage's title card broadcasted on both channels.
  • The show is the one of two Nick Jr. shows to air on Baraem, alongside Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!.
