شهر بدون درخت is one of several Persian dubs of The Lorax. It was released on IRIB TV2 during Nowruz 1392.

Censorship[]
This dub is considerably shorter than the original version, being 23 minutes shorter. In fact, there are different copies of the dub made for separate IRIB networks, each with their own unique censorships.
- The entire opening scene where the Lorax introduces the story was removed, along with the logos of the production companies that appear at the beginning.
- All lyrical songs were considerably shortened or removed entirely, replacing the singing with plain speaking.
- For example, although the "How Bad Can I Be?" sequence is featured in this dub, only the last 30 seconds of the song are included. All the original music and sound effects were removed, and instead, old Once-ler is voicing over the scene, talking about his rise to power and his regret in hurting people.
- The scenes where Ted shows love for Audrey and vice versa were removed.
- The scene where Ted's mom dances to a song coming from her fake tree was removed.
- The scene from the O'Hare air commercial was almost entirely removed except for the beginning and end.
- In IRIB Nahal broadcasts, all scenes where the Once-ler plays his guitar were removed.
- Ted's dream scene and when he kisses a cereal box were removed.
- The scene where the Once-ler changes clothes in front of the Lorax was cropped to avoid showing his legs.
- Most of the scene where the Once-ler throws his thneed at a girl was removed, leaving only the part where it lands on her head.
- The scene where Ted meets Audrey in front of the supermarket was removed.
- The scene where Ted sees someone taking a bath was removed and his dialogue after that scene was muted.
- The end credits song was replaced with an instrumental song.

- Alireza Varaste / علیرضا وارسته quickly quit the studio after seeing the embarassing amounts of censorship present in this dub. He also convinced Sahar Choobdar / سحر چوبدار to leave, and years later said as a joke on his social media that "Their (IRIB's) censorship methods should be taught in North Korean schools".
- Mina Momeni / مینا مومنی reprises her role as The Once-ler's Mom from the Glory Entertainment dub.
- Most of the censorships made by IRIB were removed for the Digitoon release.
