شکرستان (Sugarland) is an Iranian animated television series produced by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). Set in an ancient and imaginary city, each episode of the series presents a self-contained narrative, where the inhabitants of Sugarland each take different roles depending on the storyline. The content of the series was developed over eight months of research and is heavily inspired by traditional Iranian folktales, proverbs, and narratives.
