عالم غامبول المدهش (stylized as عالم Gumball المدهش) is the Arabic dub of The Amazing World of Gumball. It premiered on Cartoon Network Arabic on October 6, 2011 in the Arab world. The dub is produced by Image Production House in Lebanon, which has dubbed most Cartoon Network programs. Season 2 premiered on December 3, 2012.
On May 19, 2025, it was confirmed that season 7 will be dubbed into Arabic under the title عالم غامبول المدهش الغريب. It was released alongside other countries, on October 6, 2025, on Cartoon Network MENA, as well as its YouTube channel.

Censorship[]
Like most other programs aired on Cartoon Network in Arab countries, the broadcast of this series on the Cartoon Network Arabic and Cartoon Network MENA feeds is heavily edited for content. In addition to using Turner EMEA/WarnerMedia EMEA's own regionwide edits, the broadcast on both channels also remove many other scenes. Many of these edits started to be applied on CN Arabic in 2014 following a change in management ownership. The Cartoon Network MENA feed since 2016 has also heavily censored many episodes, although the censors are different from those used by CN Arabic (especially for older episodes).
Prints of the episodes are based off of the EMEA master prints for the first four seasons, but are instead derived from those used by the USA, RSEE, CEE and Poland feeds during seasons 5 and 6.
The first season was partially censored on YouTube, using the older prints.
In particular, the following things tend to get censored on CN Arabic and CN MENA:
- Most scenes with romantic themes, overtones or references tend to get cut, no matter what. This includes most kissing and hugging scenes too, and sometimes even extends to scenes that are not explicitly romantic or only ambiguously romantic, although in rare instances, in few episodes, the terms "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" are changed to be just "friend" like in "The Pressure" and "The Sucker".
- Several scenes depicting characters in their underwear or even naked are often cut.
- Most scenes featuring crossdressing characters are cut.
- Most scenes where a character's buttocks are exposed, as well as many scenes where a character's buttocks are highly prominent, are cut. This sometimes even extends to utterances of the word "butt".
- For example, in "The Console", Gumball's name in the game "MYBUTT" was edited to be "MYMUTT", while the dub itself made the name "رأسي" which means "MYHEAD".
While the unaired and redubbed episodes were uncensored on Netflix, the episodes that were censored for broadcast remained censored in the Netflix release.

The Responsible[]
- Several scenes where Richard is in his underwear were censored in reruns.
- The scene where Gumball vomits water was cut in reruns.
The Third[]
- The scenes where Banana Joe makes farting sounds or farting were cut in reruns.
The Debt[]
- Pantsbully giving Mr. Robinson CPR is shortened in reruns.
The End[]
- Gumball's line "Kiss me, Penny." during biology class was cut.
- The fake wedding scene between Gumball and Penny was cut and skipped to Gumball eating with his family at home.
The Laziest[]
- The scene where Larry said, "I've got a car now a-and a great new house and a girlfriend, who I'm gonna marry." was cut to be just his house and car in reruns.
- Additionally, the scene where Larry tries to propose to his girlfriend only to be interrupted by Gumball and Darwin begging, which he cause him to try to throw food and a chair at them only for it to be his girlfriend who run away crying was cut immediately to him throwing his briefcase and sits in his couch depressed in reruns.
The Mystery[]
- The story Gumball made about Penny when she was framed was shortened.
The Ghost[]
- The scene where Darwin and Richard look at Gumball was cut in reruns for unknown reasons.
The Prank[]
- A part of the prank was heavily edited in reruns due to Richard being in his underwear.
- Richard walking up to the stairs showing his butt was cut in reruns.
The Gi[]
- Nicole's line, "I know they're just costumes, but if people make fun of them, they'll never get girlfriends, or a job, and in twenty years' time they'll still be living here and wearing those ridiculous karate outfits!" was cut in reruns.
- Jamie's line, "What? Are you gonna get a girlfriend?", along with Gumball's line, "People, please, contain your excitement. At lunch break, come and see me attempt... the impossible!" was cut in reruns.
- Nicole's line, "Oh, my little karate weiner's in love" was cut in reruns.
The Robot[]
- The scene where Penny kisses Bobert (while he was taking over Gumball's life) in the forehead was cut in reruns.
The Picnic[]
- Darwin slapping an animal's behind was cut in reruns.
- The second half of the episode was heavily edited in reruns due to Gumball being naked. Because of this, this episode now ends as Gumball saying, "What is wrong with you?! You ate all my clothes!".
The Goons[]
- The scene where Gumball, Darwin, and Richard playing Butt Puppets were cut in reruns.
- Just like The Laziest, Larry tries to marry his girlfriend was cut in reruns.
- Dr. Butt's appearance was cut in reruns, although he was seen in one second.
The Sock[]
- The kissing scene of Principal Brown and Miss Simian was slightly cut.
- Gumball's line, "I love you." was cut in reruns.
- Principal Brown's line, "I'm coming, my smoochkins!" was altered to "I'm coming" in reruns.
The Poltergeist[]
- The scene where Mr. Robinson serenating Mrs. Robinson was cut in reruns. It was skipped to Gumball saying, "So, since we saved your marriage and everything, I guess that makes us best friends forever?"
The Mustache[]
- Gumball's butt transformation was cut.
- Richard examining himself in the mirror and trying to get his male breasts to stick up was cut in reruns.
- Gumball's process to remove Darwin's mustache was cut in reruns.
- Penny reminding Gumball and Darwin that they are in the girls' bathroom was cut in reruns.
- The scene between Anais' line, "Yeah, I just told ya" and Gumball's line, "So, are we gonna be like this forever" was cut in reruns.
- The scene between Nicole's line, "Oh, it says on the box that the effect wears off after a week." and where Gumball and Darwin are having fun at the park was cut in reruns.

- The scene where Gumball and Miss Simian licking together was cut in reruns.

- In reruns, the scene where Mr. and Mrs. Robinson hold a duster and golf club and say “Here come the Robinsons” was recolored, possibly due to fire imagery.

- Gumball is picking lint out of Richard's belly button, Richard drinking out-of-date milk and Gumball holding up the gross jar was cut in reruns.

- The scene where Gumball talks about peanuts to Penny was cut in reruns.
- The entire Nicole and Penny scene was cut in reruns.
- Half of the episode was cut due to Gumball's wearing a cheerleader dress, despite that, the ending wasn't cut.

- Darwin hitting Gumball while wearing the made-up armor multiple times was shortened to two times in reruns.

The Remote[]
- Richard's riddle B-U-T-T was replaced by D-U-M-B in the Arabic version, and Darwin's line, "It's under his butt, isn't it?" was changed to, "He tricked us and we were under his spell".
- Additionally, Darwin tells, "B-U-T-T. It's under his butt, isn't it? was cut in reruns due to the English audio.
The Knights[]
- The ending scene was cut in reruns due to Richard wearing his underwear, because of this, the episode now ends to Tobias saying "Okay, you win, bye".

- Back when the episode wasn't removed from reruns, the scene where Darwin kisses Carrie after he and Gumball become ghost was cut.

- The Montage scene was shortened in reruns, due to Darwin wearing a pair of lady's legs.

- The scene where Gumball is about to kiss Penny only to head-butt her during The Beauty and The Best play was cut.
- The scene where Gumball and Penny practice flapping their tongues angrily at each other was cut in reruns.
- The ending scene was shortened due to Gumball and Penny kissing.

- During the "Robolution" scene, the scene where a robot slaps Pantsbully with a pizza got cut.
The Sale[]
- The Shrine scene got cut.
- One of the failed attempts to get the new neighbors out, which was sending Richard out to pound on the shed door under the impression that Anais is trapped while wearing a werewolf mask got cut due to him being in his underwear.
- Additionally, the ending scene got zoomed in for the same reason as the afromentioned pointer below it.
The Upgrade[]
- The Cafeteria scene changed a lot of dialogue:
- Bobert's line "In Japan, there are more pets then there are children." was changed to "There are many benefits of sleep.".
- Bobert emailing pictures to Granny Jojo was changed to him sending Gumball's exam grades to her.
- The part of Alan "marrying" Leslie due to Bobert tying themselves was cut to just being stuck together.
- Bobert pulling Gumball up when he finished downgrading was cut.
The Apperentice[]
- Gumball trying to explain to Patrick that he's worthy to Penny in the beginning scene was cut immediately to Patrick throwing Gumball from his car.
The Night[]
- Hector's dream scene was shortened to cut butt jokes and the scene where he kissed Sarah which makes her giggles.
The Fury[]
- The episode became delayed to the audio to not show Richard slapping his butt during the supermarket scene until Yuki appeared again.
- The scene where Yuki flirts with Richard to tick off Nicole was cut.
The Scam[]
- Any scene involving romance hunts between Darwin and Carrie was cut, with the exception of the ending when Gumball throw the Lollipop at Gargaroth mouth.
The Disaster[]
- Richard's line "Your mother and I have come to an agreement. I'm getting a doughnut and she's getting a better husband" and Gumball and Anais responding with "WHAT?!" were cut.
- The scene where Gumball accidentally trips on Sarah which cause a misunderstanding with Penny (though Rob changed their language to Cantonese) was cut immediately to Gumball accidentally tripping her off the top floor at the mall.

Banned episodes[]
While many episodes have been shortened, many others have been banned from ever airing on the channel as a result of the censorship policy of Cartoon Network Arabic and Cartoon Network MENA. Many such episodes were exclusively available on Netflix when the series was available on that streaming service in Arab countries, though some of them were redubbed. All seasons 1 and 2 episodes were dubbed by IPH in the original dub, but some of them were never released. The completely undubbed episodes would start from season 3 and onwards.
The list of banned episodes includes:
- "The Dress", due to Gumball cross-dressing and Darwin crush on him. (some dubbed clips of the episode were released on YouTube)
- However, in "The Curse", the photo of Gumball and Darwin from that episode wasn’t censored in reruns.
- "The Pressure", due to the romance scenes being the main plot points. (dubbed on Netflix)
- However, a clip of the episode was uploaded on Cartoon Network MENA's official YouTube channel on June 15, 2012.[7]

Some episodes were removed or banned from re-airings and reruns despite being dubbed and released at first due to the changes in the censorship policies of CN MENA and Arabic, especially after 2021. Most of these episodes were redubbed when the show was hosted on Netflix, probably because they were unable to retrieve the original dubbing of these episodes from CN or IPH, or because they wanted them to be uncensored as much as possible.

Trivia[]
- In some episodes starting from season 2, the dub itself would add some words from many Arabic dialects, most notably the Egyptian and Lebanese dialects, in addition to English words like 'dude', 'man' and 'please'.
- Like the English version and most of the international dubs, Gumball and Darwin are voiced by actual children, not adult voice actors acting as young characters, like most other dubs produced by IPH.
- Unlike the original English version of the show, Gumball and Darwin's voice actors only changed once (not counting "The Kids") through the whole show. Omar and Ghady Hakim were replaced by Hadi Baydoun and Mohamed Kaakati as Gumball and Darwin respectively in the episode "The Game" from season 2, which is why they started to sound older starting from late-season 4 and season 5 (in Gumball's case) and season 6 (in Darwin's case).
- The change in Gumball's voice is noticeable especially throughout season 5, after the episodes "The Disaster" (late season 4) and "The Reruns" (as the latter was recorded shortly after the first), and it became even deeper in season 6 and afterwards. For Darwin, when season 6 was recorded, his voice had already changed then (but also became more low at the end of season 6 until "The Gumball Chronicles"). His voice was also slightly different in season 5, but it wasn't noticeable. A promo for the "New New" segment, where characters say "New New" including Gumball and Darwin, was recorded after season 5 and before season 6, it can be considered as a transition between Darwin's voice between seasons 5 and 6.
- Additionally, Anais' voice became more mature starting with season 5.
- Certain episodes were re-dubbed when the show was hosted on Netflix.
- In "Darwin's Yearbook" and "The Gumball Chronicles", many clips from previous episodes were redubbed for unknown reasons.
- In some episodes of season 6, starting with "The Anybody", Gumball and Darwin's voices are pitched up, until "The Potion".
- This was possibly an attempt not to make viewers notice the change in the voice actors' voices.
- In “The Procrastinators” episode, when Darwin asks about the meaning of “The Procrastinators” (مماطلان), Gumball refers to the real Arabic dictionary Mukhtār al-Ṣiḥāḥ (مختار الصحاح), though he mispronounces its name, and even mentions the linguist al-Zamakhsharī (الزمخشري), but still adds, “Of course I don't know, dude. You know how I use a dictionary.”
- Gumball also notes that the word sounds similar to “ṭāl al-maṭāl” (طال المطال), a line from a song by Sabah Fakhri.
- Later in the same episode, Elmore Plus was renamed to دردشات نص كم. The phrase نص كم literally means “half a sleeve,” but in everyday Arabic it is used to describe something incomplete, sloppy, or low-quality. So دردشات نص كم can be understood as “Sloppy Chats” or “Half-Baked Chats”, suggesting a poorly made platform. This change was made solely for a joke: لمحو حساب دردشات نص كم تحتاج طريقة نص كم, which roughly translates to “To delete a Dardashat Nuṣ-Kam account, you need a half-baked method”
- Gumball also notes that the word sounds similar to “ṭāl al-maṭāl” (طال المطال), a line from a song by Sabah Fakhri.
- Many episodes returned to air for the first time since 2021:
- On June 12, 2025, CN Arabic aired a marathon of seasons 1 to 3, in which “The Spoon”, one of the rare episodes from season 1, was broadcast. This episode aired again on November 18, 2025.
- On October 31, 2025, "The Password" returned to air on Cartoon Network Arabic.
- In October 2025 alongside The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, "The Name", "The Triangle" and "The Money" returned to air on Cartoon Network MENA.
- On November 3, 2025, "The Responsible", "The Ghost" and "The Laziest" returned to air on Cartoon Network Arabic
- On November 4, 2025, "The Robot" and "The Picnic" returned to air on Cartoon Network Arabic.

- The Arabic title of the episode "The Pressure" is unknown, as it never aired on CN Arabic with localized title cards like other season 1 episodes despite being dubbed already then. However, when the show was hosted on Netflix, the episode was released featuring the original dub, but it used the original English footage, leaving the title of the episode unknown. It didn't feature voice-overs either.
- The dub used to have localized visuals, such as with the logo and title cards, starting from season 1 until season 6. The episodes' title cards were localized in seasons 1-3 only before being re-edited later to retain the original English titles featuring no voice-overs, which would start from season 4 and onwards. The localized logo was used until season 6 in addition to some commercials on CN Arabic, but seasons 4-6 never had localized episode title cards. This was scrapped after the first run of season 6, using the English titles and voice-overs to feature episode and show titles.
- Some old episode title cards were found while others weren't, causing their titles to be unknown. However, there are four episodes from seasons 1-3 that still air with localized titles, which are "The DVD", "The Friend", "The Saint", and "The Downer". "The DVD" and "The Downer" are the only episodes to be uploaded to YouTube featuring localized visuals despite the latter currently being removed from reruns for unknown reasons. Other episodes air with both the Arabic and English titles presented together such as "The Recipe". Due to the absence of the localized visual prints of most episodes, there are no dubbing credits visuals available for most of the other seasons, other than the ones from seasons 1-2.
- As of August 31, 2025, the show was hosted on Netflix once again. However, only 19 episodes from season 1 and 20 episodes from season 2 were available at first. The remaining episodes were added later.
- Celebrating the release of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, CN MENA uploaded the first and the last episode of seasons 1 and 2. In the season one video, they used the original localised version of the episode "The DVD".[8] The same happened in the season two one where they used the original localized version of "The Finale".[9]
- Like most Cartoon Network and The Amazing World of Gumball international YouTube channels, a live stream is hosted airing different clips from many episodes celebrating The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.
- Weirdly enough, "The Kids" aired with its original localised footage.
- In the song "Make the Most of It" from "The Kids", Darwin's line, "I'm getting tons of loot 'cuz I look so cute!" (in this dub: "هدايا وألعاب, لأنني حباب!") was cut in later airings and reruns. However, it was also cut on Netflix for unknown reasons.
- Like most Cartoon Network and The Amazing World of Gumball international YouTube channels, a live stream is hosted airing different clips from many episodes celebrating The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.
- Although the original dub of the episode "The Void" never aired on Cartoon Network, causing the thought of it being removed or undubbed, the episode was aired normally on Cartoon Network MENA's livestream. However, the title of the episode is lost and the full episode is considered lost media.
- "What He Thinks About Us" is the first song to be sung by Jihan Malla as Darwin instead of Ghady Hakim.
- In "The Puppets", Frank and Howdy were voiced by Mohamed Kaakati, the voice actor of Darwin at the time. This was possibly done due to the fact that they are puppets moved by Darwin.
- Interestingly, they are the only characters to be voiced by him other than Darwin. He is also the only one of the voice actors of Gumball and Darwin to voice another character.
Errors[]
- In some episodes, there are missing dialogues.
- In "The Laziest", when Gumball and Darwin turned themselves into eggs while begging Larry to be lazy, only Omar Hakim's voice was heard, Ghady Hakim's voice was heard at all.
- "The Gi" and "The Hero", which are different episodes in the first and second seasons respectively, share the same title, which is "البطل", for unknown reasons.
- "The Fight" and "The Bet", which are different episodes in the first and second season respectively, share the same title, which is "التحدي", for unknown reasons.
- "The Pony", "The Tape" and "The Sweaters", which are successive episodes in the second season, share the same title, which is "الفيلم", for unknown reasons.
- In "The Recipe", the Arabic and English titles are featured together in a transparent edit. This also happened to "The Puppy"
- However, despite being fixed, on November 24, 2025 these two episodes aired with the comnbined titles.
- In a scene in "The Shell", Darwin is briefly voiced by Charbel Ayoub despite still being voiced by Mohamed Kaakati in the rest of the episode.
- "The Game" and "The Console", which are different episodes in the second and the fifth seasons respectively, share the same title "اللعبة", for unknown reasons.
- In "The List", there is a freeze frame error when Gumball flips through the pictures of Nicole hula dancing and her pregnancy.
- The episode title card for "The Faith" is removed.[10]
- Strangely enough, the show's title was changed from عالم غامبول المدهش to مغامرات غامبول المدهشة (translation: Gumball's Amazing Adventures) in the episode "The Master". This was most likely done to match the episode's Arabic title, "المغامرة" (translation: The Adventure).
- However, the show's title returned to normal in the following episode and onwards.
- In an official YouTube clip of "The Cycle", the original English audio is mistakenly placed on top of the Arabic-dubbed audio.[11]
- However, when the complete episode was uploaded onto YouTube, the error wasn't present.
- In the first and the last episodes of season 6 video on Cartoon Network MENA's YouTube channel, "The BFFs" is mistakened as the last episode instead of "The Inquisition".
