عالم غامبول المدهش الغريب is the Arabic dub of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball. It premiered on Cartoon Network in the Middle East on October 6, 2025, with a few episodes also being uploaded onto YouTube as a preview the same day. The dub was also added onto HBO Max as a hidden track; it is currently unable to be viewed through intended means.
The dub also received a special screening at IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai, screening the first and second episodes a day prior on October 5, 2025.

Censorship[]
Like most other programs aired on Cartoon Network in Arab countries, the broadcast of this series on the Cartoon Network MENA feed is edited for content. In addition to using Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA's own regionwide edits, the broadcast on the channel also remove many other scenes, even if they were dubbed at first.
In particular, the following things tend to get censored on CN MENA:
- Most scenes with romantic themes, overtones or references tend to get cut, no matter what. This includes most kissing and hugging scenes too, and sometimes even extends to scenes that are not explicitly romantic or only ambiguously romantic, although in rare instances, in few episodes, the terms "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" are changed to be just "friend".
- Several scenes depicting characters in their underwear or even naked are often cut.
- Most scenes featuring crossdressing characters are cut.
- Some scenes where a character's buttocks are exposed, as well as many scenes where a character's buttocks are highly prominent, are cut. This sometimes even extends to utterances of the word "butt".
Episode-specific edits[]
The Burger[]
- The lyric "So did our risk of heart disease!" from "Commercial Break" was cut, affecting the previous lyric, where the cut is obvious.
The Distance[]
- The first scene when Gumball and Darwin are eating together is shortened.
- However, the "Shavel Shock" scenes were left untouched.
The Thing[]
- The scene where Nicole kisses Richard instantly cuts to Richard's memory. Nicole's kiss in the memory is cut as well.
The Portrait[]
- The picture of Richard cross-dressing with Japanese men was cut immediately to Nicole looking at Richard.
- Johny Toucan is the adoptive son of Daniel and Mary Senicourt instead of Mary's boyfriend in this dub, in addition to editing the fact that Nicole's parents are separating.
- Larry says he needs to take a photo of a newborn bat instead of a bar mitzvah.
Banned Episodes[]
While many episodes have been shortened, many others have been banned from ever airing on the channel as a result of the censorship policy of Cartoon Network MENA.
The list of banned episodes includes:
- "The Butts", for obvious reasons.
- "The Astrological", due to superstition and references to love.
- "The Cheerleader", due to crossdressing.
- "The Entrance", possibly due to allusions to drugs.
- "The Letter", due to references to love.
- "The Climb", due to underwear and naked scenes.
Trivia[]
- Jihan Malla, Imad Feghaly, Zeina Daher and Charbel Ayoub reprise their roles from the dub of the original series. Also, Alaa Al-Bitar continues directing the dub.
- However, despite Jihan Malla returning to reprise her roles, one of her roles as Masami got replaced by Zeina Daher, it's unknown why this decision was made.
- However, Masami was voiced sometimes by Zeina Daher for a few times in season 6.
- Gumball and Darwin are no longer voiced by Jihan Malla in the songs.
- Abed Khalifa, Youssef Talib, Merva Refaee and Sam Ghosn replace Hadi Baydoun, Mohamed Kaakati, Karen Odeh and Fouad Shamas as Gumball, Darwin, Anais and Richard respectively.
- Fouad Shamas was replaced as he wasn't in Lebanon at the time the dub was recorded, while the others were replaced possibly due to aging and their voices becoming no longer fit to voice young characters. However, Gumball is now voiced by Abed Khalifa, who is also an adult.
- Hadi Baydoun voiced Gumball for the last time in the first teaser trailer.
- Fadi Al-Rifai is absent from the dub for unknown reasons. However, he participated in the dub of the sixth season of Mr. Bean.
- However, despite Jihan Malla returning to reprise her roles, one of her roles as Masami got replaced by Zeina Daher, it's unknown why this decision was made.
- The date on which the revival premiered on CN MENA, October 6, 2025, is the same date the original series first aired on CN Arabic fourteen years prior.
- The first scene of "The Burger", which was featured in the first teaser trailer, was redubbed.
- Unlike most of the international dubs, only 5 episodes were released on HBO Max as a hidden track in Turkiye as a first wave.
- "The Boring" shares the same Arabic title "الملل" with "The Boredom" from the original series.
- As of November 10, 2025, all of the episodes are available on Cartoon Network MENA's livestream on YouTube.[3]
- Weirdly, Darwin's phrases "Mr. Dad/Mrs. Mom" are sometimes translated as "ماما باشا" (translation: Mama Basha) and "عمو بابا" (translation: Uncle Dad), unlike the original series, where they were translated as "سيد بابا" and "سيدة ماما" most of the time, which are literal translations of "Mr. Dad" and "Mrs. Mom".
- On January 9, 2025, "The Amadain" aired on Cartoon Network Arabic. Weirdly enough, the episode just aired without any previous promotions. This was probably done to get ready for the series full release promotion.
