Dubbing credits[]
Seasons 2-4 (MBC 3)[]
Season 5[]
Notes[]
- This dub, along with the Icelandic, Polish, and the LoudWorks-dubbed seasons of Serbian dubs, are the only dubs where the characters' names are localized.
- Jeem TV aired this dub with visual localization.
- Interestingly, the localization used in the intro fairly differs from most other international localizations; almost all the textless assets are retained, and the logo appearing on screen at the end is animated differently, as it occupies most of the screen, is shaking, and abruptly disappears at the last moment.[2]
- In the first season and the first half of season 2, Doofenshmirtz's catchphrase "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!" was dubbed as "I hate you, Perry the Platypus!" However, starting from the episode "Finding Mary McGuffin", the line is translated faithfully.
- For unknown reasons, in this dub, some characters are referred to by more than one name.
- For example, in "Tree to Get Ready", Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Vanessa refer to Mayor Roger as "رجب" (Rajab), while in "Hail Doofania!", Dr. Doofenshmirtz calls him "رؤوف" (Raouf). However, in all other episodes, he is still referred as "Rajab". Similarly, in "What Do It Do?", Linda refers to Lawrence as both "جميل" (Jameel) and "فريد" (Farid). In "Musical Cliptastic Countdown", Francis Monogram first name is referred to as "فوزي" (Fouzy), but in all other episodes, his original first name is retained. In "Minor Monogram", Monty Monogram first name is same as the original, but in "Sipping with the Enemy”, his name was changed to "معتز" (Moataz), despite that, his original first name would be retained in all other episodes.
- In some season 4 episodes, Heinz Doofenshmirtz first name was changed from "شر" (Shar, meaning "evil" in Arabic) to "هادي" (Hadi, common Arabic name) and Francis Monogram name from "فرانسيس منير" (Francis Mounier) to "فرانسيس أبو طيف" (Francis Abou Taif).
- For unknown reasons, in "Musical Cliptastic Countdown" and some season 4 episodes, the translation for Candace's line at the end of the theme song was changed from «فارس وفادي يغنيان أغنية البداية» (tr. "Faris and Fadi are making a title sequence!") to «فارس وفادي يقدمان عناوين مسلسلة» (tr. "Faris and Fadi are presenting the series titles!").
- For better lyrical flow, lyrics from multiple songs were changed in this dub. For example, in "Squirrels In My Pants", the line «hypnotize me, put me in a trance / Got an Aunt Florence living in France» was changed to «عم ارحني اجعلني أرقص / أنا عندي عمة تعيش في قبرص» (tr. “Relieve me, make me dance / I have an aunt who lives in Cyprus”).
Censorship[]
- MBC 3 and Ajyal TV airings censored some scenes to better appeal to socially conservative morals frequently found in the Arab world. For example, scenes of romance and on-screen kisses were cut.
- In the very first episode, "Rollercoaster", when Isabella is introduced, she has hearts in her eyes after she opens the backyard door and says "Hey, Phineas". This is removed in MBC 3 airings.
- During the "Candace Party" sequence in MBC 3 broadcasts of the episode "Candace Gets Busted", the scene where Candace spells out the words "Intimate Get Together" on a banner was cut, likely due to it being mistaken for an innuendo, as "intimate" can be a euphemistic adjective for a sexual relationship.[3]
- In the episode "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together!", censorship occurred within the dubbing itself, as the lines in which Danny from Love Händel and Ferb shout "Kiss her!" were changed to "Hug her!". Jeem TV has also cut some kissing scenes from that episode.
- Two episodes were outright skipped in this dub: "Picture This" and "Nerdy Dancin'". "Picture This" was most likely omitted due to its depiction of the Mexican-Jewish Cultural Festival, and as a result, "Nerdy Dancin'", which was originally paired with it, was also skipped. However, those episodes are available on Disney+ in the Arab World in English with Arabic subtitles, and also air on Disney Channel in English.
- Also for unknown reasons, "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!", "Phineas and Ferb Family Christmas" and the first part of "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars" lack an Arabic audio track option on Disney+, despite those episodes being dubbed.
