ماجراجویی در پاریس is one of several Persian dubs of Miraculous, les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir. This dub was produced by Soren Studio in 2019, and is available through their service, SorenVHS. There have been various DVDs issued by the studio in Iran. Although this is the most popular and recognizable Persian dub of the series, many Iranian fans have criticized it for its censorship.

The first two seasons have aired on TV on GEM Junior; by the third season, they decided to produce their own dub, most likely due to Soren's dub of season 3 being distributed at a slow pace at the time. The dub is also available on the services Filimo, Namava, and Digitoon.

The dub has currently covered the first four seasons; season 4 was distributed at a lackluster pace, like season 3, but it's exclusively hosted on Filimo and Digitoon, and are not even available on SorenVHS. The Miraculous World TV specials have also been dubbed.

Episodes

For simplicity reasons, the episode number and release dates listed are prioritizing that of the releases on the service Filimo. Episode titles can be identified through title voice-overs by Mina Momeni, or in the case of "Pire Noël" (Santa Claws), titles given directly by the streaming service. Although some episodes do not include title voice-overs for unknown reasons, they can be referred to by the adapted names of the akumatized villain of said episodes.

Soren did not distribute "Reflekta" because of censorship; therefore, only leaving 25 episodes of season 1 to be premiered.

Censorship

For the dub to meet distribution regulations, Soren has had to make several edits, most of which are Islamically motivated. This is despite the fact that all episodes are initially fully dubbed uncensored. Although moments in which characters mention love seem to mostly be kept in tact, visual censorship is consistently apparent; any kissing scenes and embraces, hugs and cuddling moments that involve male and female characters are completely removed or cropped.

An imfamous example is within the intro of this dub, in which the moment during Marinette's narration in which Chloé shoves Marinette out of her way as she runs to kiss Adrien is cut, being replaced by a textless version of the series' end credits. The intro also has various masters that vary from episode to episode, as the moment in which Chloé kisses Adiren can be edited or deleted differently. On some occassions, the frames in which Chat Noir attempts to kiss Ladybug are removed; this edit also has other episodic variations. Sometimes, the cut footage is slowed down to allow the full audio of the intro to play.

Female characters exposing their chests and bare legs have also been edited in various ways:

• Kim's friend Ondine is edited to wear blue clothing underneath her swim suit.
• In the episode "Anansi", Nora Césaire is edited to wear a yellow t-shirt underneath her boxing clothes. This was later changed to be a black shirt in season 3, and in season 4, her clothing was fully edited into a plain yellow shirt.
• In "Style Queen", Audrey Bourgeois is edited to wear a black shirt that covers her chest. This was later changed to a yellow shirt in season 3 and a white shirt in season 4.
• Marinette's pijamas are edited to cover her shoulders.
• In rare occassions, Lila Rossi is edited to wear a grey vest that covers the chest above her short pant legged jumpsuit.

This censorship has been proven to be inconsistent however, as Soren merely crops shots that reveal their exposed body parts for small scenes and even full episodes. For example, Audrey is uncensored in her debut appearance in "Style Queen" and previous cameos.

In the episode "Capitaine Hardrock" (Captain Hardrock), scenes of Luka playing his guitar and Kitty Section performing are left in tact; even the song at the end of the episode is dubbed. However, in future episodes, the band's performances are sometimes removed, and their unicorn songs are left undubbed or as instrumental for unknown reasons, most likely to avoid showing female characters singing; in this case, Rose. At the start of "Rissignoble" (Frightningale), Clara Nightingale's song 'Big Bang' is completely cut, causing the episode to begin with Alec Cataldi introducing Clara.

The most censored episode is "Syren", as it was heavily cut down to only around 15 minutes.

The season 1 episode "Reflekta" was skipped for unknown reasons. This is despite the fact that every future appearance of the villain Reflekta is left in tact. Notably, the season 3 episode "Poupéflekta" (Reflekdoll) was dubbed and released.

Oddly enough however, the episode "Zombizou", in which kissing and hugging occurs throughout, is left almost completely uncensored.

Despite all of this however, the entirely uncut masters of the first two seasons aired on GEM Junior.

Notes

• Like most Persian dubs, this dub is illegally produced, as it is unauthorized by ON Productions.
  • This is furthermore evident by the fact that Soren rips the copies of the episodes that are available on Netflix, which is apparent in a few examples:
    • The international dubbing credits for the series that are exclusive to Netflix are left in tact.
    • The Christmas special was released much later compared to the rest in season 2, in December 2020. This is most likely due to the fact that the episode is listed separately from the rest of the episodes in the series on Netflix, and Soren had not noticed initially.
  • As Netflix did not originally have the streaming service distribution rights for season 4 onwards, it is most likely that Soren is now using the episode copies that are available on Disney+.
• As with most dubs of the series, this dub is based off of the English dub rather than the original French version.
• Soren uses the instrumental version of the show's theme song from the end credits for the intro, which slightly differs from the original version.
  • A handful of season 2 and 3 episodes still use the season 1 intro footage.
• Despite the season 4 intro footage being used for the respective season, the season 1 audio is still used.
  • Additionally, the audio of the intro is consistently out of sync with how the footage for every episode. This is done to make room for title voice-overs.
• Erfan Honarbakhsh originally used a different voice to voice Plagg in early season 1.
• Although there is a translation for the "Kissou, kissou" catchphrase in "Zombizou", sometimes, the line is altered for lipsyncing. For example:
  • Alya instead says "آره, نینو / Aare, Nino" (Yeah, Nino).
  • Cat Noir instead says "سلام علیکم / Salam alaykum" (Hello).
• The DVD covers became more elaborately edited the more they were produced, as they increasingly featured more characters and even Ladybug fanart without permission.
• Persiana Junior airings of the series uses videos from Aparat, as evident from the black bars covering the watermarks.
• Most of season 4 was dubbed in NTSC pitch, with the exception of the final episode, which is in PAL.
• Soren made a tribute song for the series on May 24, 2021, entitled "تو دل ماجراجویی / Too Dele Majarajooei" (tr. You're in the Heart of the Adventure), being based on the song Toxic by Brittany Spears, and using the same instrumental for it. The lyrics were adapted to suit the themes of the series. It was sung by the voice actor for Adrien and Plagg, Erfan Honarbaksh, alongside the voice actor for Marinette and Tikki, Leila Soudbaksh. It was mixed by Behzad Almasi.
