مونكي كيد is the Arabic dub of LEGO Monkie Kid. Produced by Image Production House, it first premiered on Cartoon Network MENA on November 7, 2022. The dub later premiered on Cartoon Network Arabic on May 7, 2023.

Censorship

• The Turkish dub contains the exact same censorship edits as this dub, with the only difference being that the only instance of burping (in "The Great Wall Race") was cut out in Türkiye and kept in the Middle East.
• Cartoon Network MENA has skipped the episodes "Duplicatnation", "Calabash", and "Revenge of the Spider Queen" from airing for unknown reasons.
  • It is speculated by fans that the reason "Revenge of the Spider Queen" was skipped might be because of dark scenes (Syntax's transformation) or to avoid religious references (the Celestial Realm heist).
• Most signs showing the Pigsy's Noodles logo were cut out of the episode or obstructed via zoom in. The reason may be due to pork being considered haram. This carries onto the Turkish dub as well.
  • In the episode "To Catch a Leaf", the sign cropping was also carried onto other Cartoon Network EMEA airings of this episode (outside of CEE/SEE countries), possibly by accident.
  • In the episode "Amnesia Rules", when Monkey King suffers amnesia, he doesn't refer to Pigsy, who he thinks is Zhu Bajie, as a pig or a swine.
• Many possible religious references to Buddhism or Taoism were removed in the dub.
  • In the episode "Amnesia Rules", many lines referring to Tang Sanzang as a monk were changed to remove references to him being a monk. However, when the show references the original Journey to the West story, he is still referred to as Sun Wukong's companion.
  • Any instance of the word "demon" in a character's name was removed in this dub; for example, "Demon Bull King" is now "Bull King", and "Lady Bone Demon" is now "Lady Bone". The only exception was the Goldfish Demon.
• This dub shares similar censorship that has also appeared on other international Cartoon Network feeds, including all cuts over the usage of the word "moron".
• All gags related to puking or barfing were cut out of the show ("72 Transformations") or cropped out ("Minor Scale").

Specific edits

• Any scenes where (non-marital) characters of the opposite gender may share romantic gestures or affectionate hugs were cut from the show for cultural reasons.
  • In "Bad Weather", a shot with Red Son broadcasting the weather station was zoomed in, because it showed a man and a woman watching the broadcast and holding hands.
  • In "The Samadhi Fire" and "Embrace Your Destiny" ─ MK gives Mei hugs in both of these episodes, and the scenes associated were cut (including in "The Samadhi Fire" where his affection caused Mei to control her powers).
• In "Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born", the scene where MK throws a bowl of noodles towards Red Son's vehicle window was cut out of the episode.
• In "Noodles or Death", the scene where Spider Queen blows a kiss at Tang, and Pigsy becomes infatuated with her were cut out of the episode.
• In "Game On", the scene where MK goes into the game's attack ability shop is zoomed in to obstruct and crop out the art of Monkey King. In the original scene, he is cartoonishly buff and wearing nothing but a speedo.
• In "72 Transformations":
  • A scene in the beginning of the episode involving Spider Queen and Huntsman was shortened.
  • MK's transformed dog hand licking him was cut out.
  • MK's line, "Why do I always land on my face?" was cut out of the episode.
• In "This is the End!", the joke where MK's friends think he's dating was cut out of the episode.
• In "The Winning Side", a scene was cut where MK farts while he's trying to regain his powers and his friends laugh at it.
