نادي وينكس is one of two Arabic dubs of Winx Club. This dub covers the entirety of the original run of the series. The first three seasons were dubbed in Lebanon by Ar-Riham Productions, and were released exclusively on DVDs distributed by Vinco Video throughout the Middle East. Although Ar-Riham did begin dubbing the show's fourth season, it was never distributed as Vinco went defunct due to insufficient activity; Ar-Riham also ceased their dubbing activities shortly after. A dub of the fourth season later released in March 2022, with a whole new cast. Produced in Syria, this dub was commissioned by the MBC group for their streaming platform "Shahid". All four seasons dubbed used the Cinélume English dub as a base, as was the case with almost every international dub of these seasons; said dub was also included in the DVD releases.

Ar-Riham would also go on to dub the first two Winx movies based off the Dubbing Brothers English dubs.

Notes[]

  • Like most international dubs, Aisha is renamed Layla (Arabic: ليلى) in the first three seasons for unspecified reasons.
    • In the fourth season's dub, her name is reverted back to Aisha, despite it still being based off the Cinélume English dub. This was most likely done to keep the dub of the season consistent with the Arabic dub of seasons 5 and 6, which Shahid also host.
  • The series' French dub was also included in the DVD releases of the first three seasons, as it was the most popular version of the show in Lebanon.
    • In fact, Winx Club became known in the country through its French youth channels, notably Télétoon. It was following the success of the broadcasts that Vinco decided to distribute the series via home media in the Middle East and commisioned an exclusive Arabic version for the occasion.
  • The opening theme song "Under the Sign of Winx" was dubbed twice with different lyrics and instrumentals, just like how it was in the Cinélume English version. However, instead of the first version being used only in season 1, it was also used during the first half of season 2 as well. The second dub of the song was used from the 14th episode of the second season onwards.
  • Although most of the songs were dubbed during the first three seasons, during the dubbing of season 4, only the opening theme song was dubbed, and it was also used in the ending credits, replacing the song "Superheroes". All the other songs from that season retained their English version.

Censorship and changes[]

As the dubbing for the first three seasons was only meant for a DVD release, and that this dub came out with other audio tracks alongside it, nothing was censored, whether it was visual or auditory, a rare exception considering some content in the show doesn't fit with some cultural aspects of the Middle East.

However, the dub of season 4 was released exclusively on the streaming platform Shahid, which is fully under the direction of the MBC group that has very specific regulations on the content aimed towards children. Thus, all the kissing scenes and references to romance were cut from the dub, as well as nudity scenes present in few parts of the transformations (notably the beginning of Bloom's Enchantix transformation sequence and Flora's Believix transformation) and scenes with the Winx in swimsuits (like in episode 407).
