വിങ്സ് ക്ലബ് is one of two Malayalam dubs of Winx Club. It first premiered on ETV Bal Bharat on April 29, 2021. All eight seasons and the four TV specials were dubbed and aired up until October 5, 2022, using the Cinélume English dub as a base for the first four seasons and the English version of the series' revival as a base for the TV specials and seasons 5-8.

It also successes the previous Malayalam dub of the series that aired on Kochu TV.

Notes[]

  • Similarly to the rest of the dubs by ETV Bal Bharat, almost all the songs are left undubbed from the English versions they are based off of.
    • The opening and ending songs of each season and TV special are left instrumental.
    • The only dubbed songs and music are minor ones, including:
      • The cleaning song from episode 107. [3]
      • Musa's singing towards the birds in episode 506.
      • The Christmas Cheer from episode 510.
      • Chatta's rhyme from Episode 608.
      • Amore's lullaby from Episode 706. [4]
      • Musa and Orlando's song "You're Fairies" from episodes 708[5] and 709[6].
      • Musa's whistling in episode 716.
      • The vocalizations during the Harmony of the Quillcat spell from Episode 719[7].
      • The Lilings' song from episode 820. [8]
        • In the case of the Lilings' song, the lyrics were retained from the original English version.
  • Ancy TK from the Kochu TV Malayalam dub reprises her role as Daphne in season 7, and voices major female supporting characters and other female background characters; she is also the narrator for the majority of the dub except for the fourth TV special.
  • Rohini Anju Pillai from the Kochu TV dub reprises her role as Stormy, and now voices Flora and Nebula; she is also the narrator for the 4th TV Special.
  • Aisha is called Layla in season 2-4 and season 8 only.
  • For the TV Specials and Seasons 1-3, the dubbing process took place in Tamil Nadu while Seasons 4-8 took place in Kerala.

Errors[]

  • Despite being called Aisha in both the TV specials and Seasons 5-7, she refers to herself as Layla during all her powerlines in the transformations except for the Charmix sequence from the fourth TV special[9], the Believix sequence in episode 502, and the Sirenix sequence in episode 514.
  • Similarly to the Tamil dub from ETV for episodes 101-117, Sky and Brandon's names remain the same and are not switched around like in the original.
  • In episodes 105 and 221, the audio of Flora's voice is doubled during the spoken lines "This is blackmail!" and "And it's a good reminder of how good life can be back home" in Malayalam.
  • In episode 122, the narrator's voice for the recap highlighting the events of the previous episode is missing.
  • In episode 222, Layla says "Power of Charmix" instead of just "Charmix" during her sequence.
  • For episode 226, the Marathi dub was placed in the Malayalam audio track of ETV Bal Bharat, despite this episode being dubbed based off one of the promos for the second season. [10]
  • Throughout Season 4, Artu is mistakenly named as Andrew by Roxy.
  • In episode 402, Riven forgets a line before picking up Musa, meaning no dialogue came from his mouth movement.
  • In episode 403, Musa forgets to say her lines regarding the belief that the Wizards of the Black Circle are in Gardenia before the Enchantix transformation.
  • In episode 419, the narrator's voice for the preview highlighting the events of the next episode is missing.
  • In episode 422, the music during the Believix transformation is missing, with only the sound effects intact.
  • In episodes 501, 503, and 504, the powerlines heard during the Believix sequences are fully retained from the English dub.
  • In episode 502, Bloom, Flora, and Stella's powerlines heard during the Believix sequence are fully retained from the English dub while Aisha voices hers over the English dub, Tecna's powerline is missing, and Musa voices hers properly.
  • Sometimes, the powerlines in the transformation sequences place "The" at the start of each Winx's title for no reason:
    • In episode 506, Stella says "The Fairy Of Shining Sun" instead of just "Fairy Of The Shining Sun" during the Harmonix transformation.
      • In episode 609, Daphne says "The Nymph Of Sirenix" instead of just "Nymph Of Sirenix" during her transformation.
      • In episode 515, Musa says "The Fairy Of Music" instead of just "Fairy Of Music" during the Sirenix transformation.
  • In episode 507, both Aisha and Layla are said at the same time during her powerline heard in the Harmonix transformation.
  • In episodes 507 and 508, a split second of Musa's powerline during the Harmonix transformation from the English dub is heard before the Malayalam version.
  • In episode 511, Bloom, Aisha, and Tecna's powerlines during their Harmonix transformation are fully retained from the English dub.
  • In episode 606, during the Bloomix group transformation, Stella's powerline is voiced over the English dub.
  • In episode 614, Icy and Nebula's voices are missing throughout.
  • In episode 704[11], during the Butterflix transformation, Bloom, Tecna, and Flora's powerlines are voiced over the English dub, while Musa's is fully retained from the English dub, and Aisha and Stella's are voiced properly.
  • In episode 705[12], during the Butterflix transformation, Bloom, Musa, and Stella's powerlines are voiced over the English dub, while Tecna's is partial, and Aisha and Flora's are voiced fully.
    • Additionally, in both of these episodes, the volume of the voices is slightly lower than the background music.
  • In episode 706[13], during the Butterflix transformation, Bloom, Aisha, and Stella's powerlines are voiced over the English dub, while Musa, Tecna, and Flora's are retained from said dub.
  • In episode 712[14], the powerlines during the Butterflix sequence are fully retained from the English dub.
    • Additionally, the song "You're Fairies" is left in English despite being dubbed in episodes 708 and 709. [15]
  • In episode 801, the narrator reading out the episode title is missing.
