කෑකෝ ගෙදර is the Sinhala dub of The Loud House. It premiered on TV Derana in Sri Lanka on August 6, 2020.
Cast[]
Censorship[]
Episodes featuring Clyde's fathers Howard and Harold in Season 1 were skipped during regular episode premieres on TV Derana, as homosexuality is illegal in Sri Lanka (although the law has been ruled unenforceable).
- As such, the episodes "Ties That Bind", "Out on a Limo" and "The Waiting Game" were not aired as they were paired with the banned episodes.
From Season 2 onward, episodes featuring Clyde's fathers were aired, but Howard was given a female voice actor and addressed as Clyde's mother, like in the Arabic dub. However, from the episode "ARGGH! You for Real?" onwards, Howard was given a male voice actor.[2][3] In "L is for Love", Luna's love interest Sam had her lines muted.
In addition to banning episodes, some scenes were cut:
- The songs in "11 Louds a Leapin'".
- Lisa starting a food fight in "Making the Grade".
- Clyde forgetting to spell 'Cat Treats' in "Baby Steps".
- Bobby pulling down his pants and Clyde's reaction in "Cheater by the Dozen".
- The opening scene of "Kick the Bucket List".
- Lori, Lynn, the twins, and Leni frightening Hank and Hawk in "Tricked!" (likely due to depictions of murder).
Trivia[]
- In this dub, Lincoln and Clyde are voiced by adult men.
- It's also the case with the Albanian, Arabic, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish dubs.
