ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ is a Japanese two-episode OVA based on the video game franchise of the same name. It was produced by Studio Pierrot and General Entertainment.

The anime was originally released between January 26 and March 22, 1996 with its two thirty-minute episodes over two separate VHS tapes. These two episodes are titled "エッグマンランドへむかえ" and "ソニックＶＳメタル・ソニック！！".
