ティンカー・ベル is the Japanese dub of Tinker Bell. Unlike most countries, where the film was released direct-to-video, it premiered theatrically in Japan on December 23, 2008. It was later released on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 3, 2009.

Cast[]

Auditions for the voice of Tinker Bell were held via cellphone. The audition process entailed the applicant registering as a user on Disney's mobile website, accessing the Japanese Tinker Bell website, and recording her name and audition lines from her cellphone. Ayari Fukamachi was selected from a total of 17,358 applicants.

Notes[]

  • As with the Serbian and Albanian dubs of this film, the songs were not dubbed.
    • However, an additional end credit song was added after "Fly to Your Heart": "妖精のうた" ("Fairy Song") by Shione Yukawa, for the first time since Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
  • The film was extensively promoted in Japan with exclusive marketing:
    • TV personality and model Yukina Kinoshita cosplayed Tinker Bell at preview screenings and promotional events.
    • A special event, the Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival 2009, was held from April 22 to June 30, 2009, in which Tinker Bell, Rosetta, Iridessa, Silvermist, and Fawn brought spring to Tokyo DisneySea.
