ミュウツーの逆襲 EVOLUTION (English: Mewtwo's Counterattack Evolution), officially known as Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution in Japan, is a 2019 Japanese computer-animated film, the twenty-second movie of the Pokémon anime and is a CGI remake of 1998's Pokémon: The First Movie. It succeeded Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us and was succeeded by Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle.
Cast[]
Some of the voice actors from the original 1998 film, like Rica Matsumoto, Ikue Ōtani, and Masachika Ichimura, reprised their roles for the remake, whereas the other characters had new voice actors.
This would be the last time that Unshō Ishizuka, voice of the narrator since the very first episode of the Pokémon anime, would voice the narrator. As he would die on August 13, 2018 of esophageal cancer, before the film's release.

Trivia[]
This is the first Pokémon film that was released on Netflix in territories outside of Japan and South Korea to be available in Japanese for the first time in all regions that TPCi (and TPC in Asia) serves, albeit using the TPCi master and its songs from the English dub instead of the original Japanese songs.
