喜羊羊与灰太狼 (Xǐ Yángyáng Yǔ Huī Tàiláng, Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf) is a Chinese animated series created by Huang Weiming (黄伟明, Leo Huang) and produced by Chinese company Creative Power Entertaining. The show is about a small group of goats living on the Green Green Grassland (青青草原; Qīngqīng Cǎoyuán), and the story revolving around a clumsy yet genius wolf and his family who wants to eat them, only to fail every time at the end. It also spawned seven films during 2009-2015, with a eighth film which is basketball-themed based off the Dunk for Victories season aired in 2021, released in 2022. In 2010, Disney gained the license to broadcast the show on their Disney Channels.[4] Alpha terminated the contract with Disney before the date of expiration in September 2016 at the expense of US$2 million, thus Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf has had nothing to do with Disney since then.
Starting from Mighty Little Defenders (羊村守护者 Yáng cūn shǒuhù zhě, translated literally as "Defenders of the Goats Village") season in 2019, in which goats and wolves were making peace to each other, now that goats and wolves (especially main characters Weslie and Wolffy) were working together to face several further crisis on their world such of the time portal, Weslie's sister and the aliens visit on Earth, the journey into the mystic floating cat island, and stuck in the future world (fifteen years later), and more so go on.
