Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021 (映画ドラえもん のび太の宇宙小戦争 2021, Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Ritoru Sutā Wōzu 2021), also known as Doraemon: Nobita's Little Space Wars 2021, is a Japanese animated epic science fiction film, and it was the forty-two installment of the Doraemon feature films.
One day during summer vacation, a palm-sized alien named Papi appears from a small rocket that Nobita picks up. He is the president of Pirika, a small planet in outer space, and has come to Earth to escape the rebels. Doraemon and his friends are puzzled by Papi’s small size, but as they play together using the secret tool “Small Light”, they gradually become friends. However, a whale-shaped space battleship comes to earth and attacks Doraemon, Nobita and the others in order to capture Papi. Feeling responsible for getting everyone involved, Papi tries to stand up to the rebels. Doraemon and his friends leave for the planet Pirika to protect their dear friend and his home.

The film was originally scheduled to be premiere on March 5, 2021 in Japan, but due to COVID-19 Pandemic, it was postponed to March 4, 2022.
The film was premiered theatrically in Indonesia on May 25, 2022[1], and in Vietnam on May 27, 2022. One day later, the film premiered in China.[2][3] In June 16, 2022, the film released in Malaysia[4] and Brunei, followed by Singapore on June 23, 2022.[5] The film was also released in Philippines on July 13, 2022 in original Japanese version with English subtitles.[9]
In June 30, 2022, the film was released in the Mauritius in original Japanese version with English subtitles. It was also released in Azerbaijan in original Japanese version with Azerbaijani subtitles.[6][7]
In July 7, 2022, the film was released in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates in original Japanese version with Arabic subtitles.[8]
The film premiered in Taiwan on July 15, 2022 with both original Japanese and Taiwanese Mandarin dubs.[10]
In July 20, 2022, the film was released in Egypt in original Japanese version with Arabic and English subtitles.[11] The film was also released in Cyprus in original Japanese version with English and Greek subtitles a day later.[12]
In August 3, 2022, the film released in South Korea. It was also released in Hong Kong on August 4.
The film was released in Turkey on August 5, 2022. It was also released in South Africa in original Japanese version with English subtitles on the same day.[13]
The film was also released in Thailand on October 6, 2022.[14][15][16][17]
This movie, alongside with Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon Exploration and Nobita's New Dinosaur, were temporarily available for free as a screening on offical Korean Doraemon expo in May 9, 2023.[21]
The film was also received an DVD/Blu-Ray release on Italy in July 13, 2023.[18]
The film was scheduled to be aired on TVB Jade in Hong Kong at 8:30PM timeslot in August 30, 2025 with the channel's own dub (with simplified and traditional Chinese subtitles, and the original Japanese soundtrack as the secondary audio), as opposed to the original theatrical dub.
