東京ミュウミュウ (Tokyo Mew Mew) is a 52-episode anime adaptation of the manga of the same name. It was broadcast on both TV Aichi and TV Tokyo in Japan and premiered on April 6th, 2002. It aired weekly until it ended on March 29th, 2003.
On her first date with the cutest boy in school, Ichigo is zapped by a mysterious ray that scrambles her DNA with that of the endangered Iriomote wildcat. The next day, Ichigo discovers that she has developed the agility (and occasionally the ears and tail) of a cat, as well as the power to transform into a pink-haired superheroine, Mew Ichigo. She and four other girls, each endowed with the genes of a different "Red Data" animal, have been selected for the top-secret Mew Project, which aims to protect the Earth from an alien menace known as Deep Blue.

Notes[]
- Although the majority of European dubs of season 1 of the series used the English version as a base, the Italian dub and the second European Portuguese dub were dubbed from the original Japanese version instead. The second Albanian dub ("Jess" Discographic), while using Japanese footage, dubbed from the Italian dub's script.
- While all other Asian dubs dubbed from the Japanese version, the Hebrew and Turkish dubs were dubbed the 4Kids version for their first season. However, season 2 of the Hebrew dub was dubbed from the Japanese version, while the Turkish dub did not continue after season 1.
- The French, Croatian, Serbian and Hebrew dubs, despite dubbing from the English dub for season 1, dubbed season 2 from the original Japanese version. This was due to their dubs recieving high enough ratings that it was considered to be worth dubbing and airing the rest of the series despite there being no more English dubbed episodes.
