Ｂビーダマン爆外伝 is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nagoya TV, Mirai Keikaku, Tokyu & Paohouse and animated by Madhouse, based on the B-Daman toyline by Takara and the Bomberman video game series by Hudson Soft, serving as the first animated adaptation of both franchises. The series was directed by Nobuaki Nakahashi and written by Tatsuhiko Urahata. The series focuses on Shirobon and his pals as they protect B-da City from the Dark B-da. The series aired on Nagoya TV, TV Asahi and other stations from February 7, 1998 to January 31, 1999 for 48 episodes. A manga adaptation by Koichi Mikata began serialization in 1997, when the show started production.
The series was superseded by Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden V.
