ALBATR@DE (also known as ALBATR@DE VIDEO for VHS releases; legally known as "ALBATRADE") was an Albanian dub producer and distributor. They started as a company in 1997, initially a store selling fruit juice, named "AL FRUTA". In 2000, they got rebranded to ALBATR@DE and started selling subtitled VHS tapes for various movies, both animated and not. Starting June 2002 up until early 2004 they had a contract with “Jess” Discographic for making dubbed media. Initially they used some of their own technical staff from the subtitled releases in the dubs, likely reusing the existing translation as well; those people include Eliola Jakupi and Edlira Rrodhe. Following the separation from Jess (when Jess started working exclusively for Top Media companies), they created their own replacement dubbing studios, one of which would later be rebranded as Studio Dodona in 2007. Even after the Studio Dodona rebrand, some Dodona dubs like Happy Feet have also been released with a different ALBATRADE logo on VHS and DVD. They have also distributed old Albanian movies on DVD.

Their dubs were released direct-to-video on DVD and VHS and continue to air on channels from multiple platforms. Some dubs were re-released by Unison and Albatrade Plus (a company created by Zamir Sukniqi in 2008 as a continuation of ALBATR@DE).

Trivia

• Their dubs, no matter what studio they were produced in, always had the narrative songs dubbed, though several dubs left the credit songs in English.
  • An exception to this are shorts produced by Dodona's precursor studio, which sometimes leave the songs in English.
• All of their dubs are illegally produced, usually from Italian DVDs.
• Their DVD releases don't contain the original footage of the dub, they are an exact copy of the Italian DVD (with menus and everything) but with an Albanian audio track added in (usually the third track). This Albanian track is digitized from the VHS release of the dub, sometimes with errors and glitches. The Albanian track also has to be manually selected, as the menus do not list it as an option (in movies with more than 2 languages, choosing the 3rd language results in Albanian).
  • Neither do the covers contain Albanian credits most of the time, they usually copy the VHS title on the front, and the rest is done from scratch: ALBATR@DE's logo is different (ALBATR@DE instead of ALBATR@DE VIDEO) and the back is a translation of the original italian DVD.
• Dubs produced in Dodona's precursor studio don't mention character names in the VHS cover, only voice actors, often with mistakes (a practice continued by Studio Dodona today). Additionally they credit Jetmir Mehmedaj and Suela Tukaj as the producers of the dub. They both continue working at Dodona ever since.
