Broadcast[]
The Danish dub of Amphibia (alongside the Swedish and Norwegian dubs) initially premiered on Disney XD Scandinavia on March 23, 2020; the entire first season had aired exclusively on that channel before it was shut down on December 31, 2020. Because of Disney XD's closure in the region, the series remained unaired on television for more than a year. The show did not return to television in Scandinavia until December 2021, when it was added to Disney Channel Scandinavia's lineup for the very first time. The entire first season has aired on Disney Channel Scandinavia. However, the second season has never aired on Disney Channel Scandinavia for unknown reasons.
The series also briefly aired on the Disney Sjov licensed programming block that was formerly offered by Danish public television channel DR1, beginning sometime in 2022. It continued to air as part of Disney Sjov until the block was permanently replaced with the non-Disney-themed FredagsTamTam on January 6, 2023. In fact, the series even aired as part of the very last few broadcasts of Disney Sjov prior to the latter's aforementioned replacement with FredagsTamTam.[3]
The third season of the series premiered on Disney Channel Scandinavia on April 1, 2022. The final episode premiered on Disney Channel on February 27, 2023.
Release on Disney+[]
The show was not added to Disney+ in Denmark until January 5, 2022, with Danish dubbing included.[4] The second season was exclusively released on Disney+ in Denmark on April 13, 2022, also with Danish dubbing included.[5] Currently as of March 2023, all episodes in the third season have officially been dubbed into Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and even Finnish. The third and final season was released on Disney+ in Denmark on March 29, 2023.
