Angyali keresztszülők is one of two Hungarian dubs of The Fairly OddParents. Being the first Hungarian dub of the series, produced by SDI Media Hungary, the series aired on KidsCo starting November 1, 2007. Since KidsCo was available in few households in Hungary, the series was not very well known in the country at the time. Only seasons 3-4 initially aired on the channel.

In 2010, Disney Channel began broadcasting the series. They bought the rights to air seasons 3-4, but also produced the first two seasons again with the help from SDI. The series became especially popular when Disney began showing it. The show stopped airing on Disney's schedule for a short time for unknown reasons, but it returned in the spring of 2011, airing new season 5 episodes. The ratings were very high, but as soon as Disney showed these episodes, the show was taken off the primetime slot and put on a morning time slot instead.

A few years prior, Nickelodeon was airing another dub, which was produced by Laborfilm szinkronstúdió, in the spring of 2009. Eventually they retracted with the decision to change the studio, as in March 2011 the channel began airing the last episodes of the 6th season, done again by SDI Media. From this point onward the channel became the main network for episode premieres, completing the show through the 10th season which ended on August 22, 2017.

Notes[]

  • All episodes were eventually covered in this dub, although done for different networks (seasons 1-2, and 5 for Disney Channel, seasons 3-4 for KidsCo, seasons 6 onward for Nickelodeon), unlike the second dub of the series.
  • As Nickelodeon made the permenant switch from using Laborfilm to settling on SDI, Timmy's voice actor, Tamás Stukovszky, was kept from the Labor dub.
  • Second half of the fifth season and most of the sixth seasons were not dubbed, however the episodes were dubbed into Hungarian as Labor dubbed them.
