Notes[]

  • Even though the title of the film originally used Cinderella's German name, the dub itself uses her original English name. From the 1998 Masterpiece Collection home video release onwards, the English name is used for the title.
    • To accommodate this change, the film was partially redubbed for further releases, which is still being used. The prologue, originally narrated by Erika Görner, was re-recorded with Joachim Pukaß. In this new version, the narrator explains why Cinderella is not called Aschenputtel, giving the reasoning that the story of Cinderella is told worldwide and in America, where the film was made, she is named Cinderella.
    • Once the narration was changed, the title song was left instrumental.
  • The partial redub serves as a basis for the North Korean voice-over.
