Trivia[]

  • The adaptors of the Italian version took an extremely free approach to the original and didn't respect the translation of the comics at all.
    • Some characters have been drastically changed.
      • Numerobis, despite his name, was made into a Sicilian immigrant.
      • Amonbofis became a Teutonic with a German accent, called Von Klappe, with several slightly racist jokes thrown in at his expense.
    • Several characters speak different Italian dialects.
      • The Romans, including Caesar, speak with Roman linguistic coloring, of course.
      • The pirates have a Venetian dialect.
      • Numerobis speaks Sicilian, which goes hand in hand with the drastic change in the character.
    • Several (then) current events were incorporated into the text, such as the moon landing.
