Barbapapà - Una grande famiglia felice! is the Italian dub of Barbapapa en famille !. It first premiered on Nick Jr. in Italy on September 21, 2020[1], under the titles Barbapapà and Family! and Barbapapà & Family; it was broadcast with those titles until episode 14, where it reverted to the main title.
The dub would eventually premiere on Rai Yoyo starting April 12, 2021. There, the show is known as Barbapapà - In famiglia! in the opening theme, although it still uses the main title in other material, such as promos. Two days earlier, episodes were readily available on the RaiPlay service.[2]

- The entire cast of the 2006 Nickelodeon dub of the original 1974 series had retained their roles.
- In the theme song itself and in promos, the show is titled "Barbapapà and Family!", and a similar spelling, "Barbapapà & Family", was also used to advertise the show prior. However, a full title of the dub, "Barbapapà - Una grande famiglia felice!" is also used on the channel and on the Nick Jr. site.
- However, from episode 14, the theme song uses the "Una grande famiglia felice!" logo, thus making it the official title.
- This dub is based on the original French version. Unlike the other Nick channels that broadcast the show, footage from the French version can be seen.
- This dub was supervised by someone at Rai, though it wouldn't air on a Rai channel until much later after its debut.
- On Nick Jr. Italy's site for this show, they had featured only one episode from the Rai Yoyo dub of the 1999 anime spin-off バーバパパ 世界をまわる.
- Rai Yoyo uses a completely different localization than the Nick Jr. broadcasts:
- All the text in the intro and credits are relocalized, including the title cards.
- Unlike Nick Jr. broadcasts, the logo reads "Barbapapà - In famiglia!", despite being advertised as "Barbapapà - Una grande famiglia felice!".
- None of the Italian crew is credited, except for the dubbing director - instead, the English credits are shown, with text translated to Italian if necessary.
- The localization is based off of the English version, despite the dub itself being based off of French. Rai Yoyo also features the English version in the secondary audio track.
