Notes[]

  • Other character names are translated as follows:
    • Barbamama – Barbamamá
    • Barbabelle – Barbabella
    • Barbibul – Barbabrillo
    • Barbalala – Barbalalá
    • Claudine – Claudia
    • Barbidou, Barbidur, and Barbotine all retain their English names (Barbazoo, Barbabravo, and Barbalib respectively).
  • This dub is one of a few that give individual voices to the Barbapapas, whereas in the original the narrator provided all of the voices in season one.
  • Similarly to both Latin American Spanish dubs, as well as the 1988 Chinese Mandarin dub and the Arabic Qatar Television dub, the opening theme features a narrator simply voicing over the opening theme as he introduces all of the Barbapapas, as opposed to singing the song.
    • However unlike those versions, this is the only one to not voice-over the British English theme: instead the theme song is completely instrumental as he narrates.
  • The transformation phrase the Barbapapas say when shapeshifting was translated as "Hip hip hip, Barbatruco!".
