Notes[]

  • Markus Bäckman and Heljä Heikkinen reprise their roles as Barbapapa and Barbamama respectively from the 1974 series' HBO Nordic dub.
  • This dub uses the original French version of the series as a base; evidenced by how the dub uses footage from this version.
  • This is one of the few shows that have a separate Finnish dub for Yle and Nickelodeon.
  • The episode "De pépins en pépins" was released one day before the dub's premiere on Yle TV2 on the official YouTube channel for the Pikku Kakkonen block.[1]
  • This dub uses a short jingle during the original French end credits in all episodes, while in the original it was silent in the first season. The same jingle used in this dub's credits would later be used in all releases of the second season.
  • The theme song does not have a role-call for the Barbapapas; instead it was replaced with regular lyrics, like the Polish and Hungarian dubs.
