Barbapapa en famille ! is an French animated children's television series that premiered on TF1 in France on November 10, 2019.[3] It is a reboot of the 1974 Japanese-Dutch animated series, Barbapapa, and is the third series in the franchise, following the 1999 anime バーバパパ 世界をまわる. The show is directed by Alice and Thomas Taylor. It continues the adventures of the Barbapapa family, along with their pet dog, Lolita.
In France, it premiered on TF1 on November 10, 2019, though a preview was aired on the channel on November 3.[3] In Switzerland, the series airs on RTS 1, and in Canada, it airs on Télé-Québec. On June 11, 2018, it was announced that Nickelodeon had acquired the international rights to the series.[4] On December 14, 2020, the series premiered on Nick Jr. Global, which includes an audio track for the original French version.
On June 9, 2021, a compilation movie called Les Barbapapa se mettent au vert ("The Barbapapas Go Green") was released in French theaters.[5][6] The second season premiered on TF1 on November 5, 2023.

- On June 11, 2018, the series was initially picked up by Nick Jr. International to air in Greece, India, and South Korea, assumedly with Greek, Hindi, and Korean dubs on their respective Nick channels, however these deals did not end up happening for unknown reasons.[14]
- Notably, a Nick Jr. channel in Greece and South Korea does not exist. It may be assumed that the series would have aired on the main Nickelodeon channels instead for these two countries, the former of which has a Nick Jr. programming block while the latter has aired Nick Jr. programming.
