Trivia[]

  • Like the West German dub, the majority of the songs were left in English, with the exception of "Tomorrow Belongs to Me".
    • The German vocals were taken from the West German version, but with a different chorus. Apparently the singing and music could not be separated, so the choir starts earlier to drown out the singer. However, the singer, and therefore the West German chorus, is still faintly audible.
  • After the voice actors Winfried Glatzeder and Holger Mahlich fled to the West, their names were cut from the credits.
  • The dialogue of Joel Grey was in both English and German, which is why it was not dubbed in the West German version. However, as English language skills were much lower in East Germany, Grey was also dubbed.
    • It is still uncertain who the voice actor was. It is assumed that either Viktor Deiß voiced the role or voice director Peter Groeger.
