Candy Candy (also known as La dulce niña Candy) is the Latin American Spanish dub of キャンディ・キャンディ. This dub was released in various Latin American countries around the late '70s and early '80s. In several countries, even to the present day, the series is still broadcast with this dub.

Dubbing[]
- This dub has the particularity of having been done with the distinctive Rioplatense accent, something distinctive in the dubs of the time made in Argentina.
Cast[]
- Cecilia Gispert (Candy), Ricardo Lani (Stear), Márgara Alonso (Miss Pony), and Olga Bruno (Sister María) were the only actors who remained in the cast despite the change in the studio and direction.
Translation and Adaptation[]
- The translation may have been based on the English scripts of the original Japanese version of the series.
- In some episodes, especially in the first batch of dubbed episodes, the Hispanicization "Blanco" or "Blanca" was used for the surname "White".
Technical Details[]
- The first 52 episodes were dubbed in the Tecnofilm dubbing studio, under the direction of Julio Fedel. He chose the cast of actors and actresses in 1978. However, due to economic issues, from episode 53 to 115, that were dubbed during 1979-1980, the dub would be done in the Phonalex dubbing studios, under the direction of Nelly Hering (who also portrayed the character Frannie "Flammie" Hamilton). This change in both the dubbing studio and direction led to the replacement of various actors, resulting in a new cast of actors taking on most of the main roles.
- It is one of the few dubbings of "Cadicy International Corporation" that has endured over the decades, despite the deterioration that often affects recordings over time.
