Cenerentola is one of two Italian dubs of Cinderella. It premiered in Italy on August 20, 1950 at the Venice Film Festival as the opening feature, and was released nationwide a month later, on September 15th. Its premiere in the city of Turin served as a charity event, presented by RKO Radio Pictures at the Piemonte Hotel to help orphans at the Famulato Cristiano Institute which was facing financial struggles after being robbed. It was sponsored by several Turin fashion designers who presented new clothes and fur before the screening.
The film was redubbed 17 years later with the same technical staff and released on December 22, 1967. While no official statement was given as to why the film was redubbed, it was allegedly due to controversy surrounding the cast of this dub. Due to how early the redub was, this dub was never released on home video and is mostly lost.

- Carlo Romano participated in both dubs as different characters. He was the King in the 1967 dub and Gus in this one.
- It was initially speculated that Giuliana Maroni provided both the speaking and singing voice of Cinderella in this dub, but Rita Savagnone (the narrator of the 1967 dub) revealed that her sister Deddi provided the singing voice instead.
