Détective Conan is the French dub of 名探偵コナン. Licensed by Mediawan, it made its debut on Cartoon Network on January 4, 2004, with the first season. On January 3, 2005, the show started airing on France 3's afternoon programming block, France Truc. The show was very popular amoung youth and teenagers. Because of this, the studio dubbed 3 more seasons. Parents complained about the gore and violence featured in the series. As as a result, France 3 pulled the show from its programming the next year.

With the high demand of the series to return, Cartoon Network re-aired the series in August 2006, with about 50 new episodes; along with the arrival of Ai Haibara. Episodes were not aired in order; which is likely why series did not air all the 214 episodes dubbed. The show also aired on Mangas with the Japanese master instead of the localized one on March 24, 2007.

The series was available on Netflix synced to remastered footage, but was removed on February 29, 2024. It is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.
