DeafCat Studios (formerly known as Filmali, Filmali Productions and Filmali International) is a Lebanese dubbing studio.
History[]
Filmali is the first Arabic dubbing studio, and in turn, the longest-running studio working, with more than 40 years of uninterrupted work. Throughout its existence, it has dubbed numerous productions, from cartoons to Hispanic telenovelas. The studio was founded in 1974 by the Lebanese Nicolas Abu Samah, considered the great pioneer of Arabic dub, having introduced this technique in this area in the 70s.[1][2][3]
DeafCat Studios is the successor dubbing studio to Filmali. Founded in 2006, it retired the Filmali name in early 2010s.[4]
