Trivia[]
Technical data[]
- In the words of director Marc Winslow, this dubbing was done in 2 and a half weeks.
- Iván Bastidas mentioned that they recorded the series in sessions of 4 hours a day.
- Gerardo Ortega was initially considered to direct the project, but he was busy with Attack on Titan as well as being in poor health at the time.
- Marc Winslow asked the studio to suggest to the client to dub the opening and ending, and he already had an idea of who could interpret these themes.
About adaptation[]
- Aniplex delivered the script in English and a translation from Japanese, the translators and adapters made a mixture of both taking into account what the anime said in Japanese and the manga, and the director also read them, to try to "preserve the spirit Japanese".
- On Netflix, the titles with Japanese kanji, such as the names of the episodes, are subtitled in Spanish, however on Funimation they do not appear.
About distribution[]
- This is the first anime series for which the dub is produced by Aniplex, and it is the second anime series from the Ufotable studio to receive a dub (the first being Tales of Zestiria: The Cross).
About the cast[]
- Dulce Guerrero (Tamayo) had previously dubbed Maaya Sakamoto in The Seven Deadly Sins as Merlin.
Mistakes[]
- In episode 5, Tanjiro tells Genya to "Let go of his hand now" when in reality Genya is grabbing Kanata Ubuyashiki's head.
- In episode 15, Tanjiro pronounces "Inosuke" instead of "Inoske" as in the rest of the series.
- In the same episode, the term "Hashira" is used, in the rest of the series it is translated as "pillar".
- In the credits, several actors and actresses who participated in the dubbing are mistakenly credited.
- Also in the credits, Tanjiro is mistakenly credited as "Tanjito".
