Der kleine Eisbär (also known as Der kleine Eisbär – Der Kinofilm) is a 2001 German traditionally-animated film based on the books of Hans de Beer. It is directed by Piet De Rycker and Thilo Graf Rothkirch with screenplay from Bert Schrickel, Piet De Rycker, and Thomas Wittenburg.
This film premiered in theatres in Germany and Switzerland on October 4, 2001, and it was distributed by Warner Bros. Film GmbH under the Family Entertainment label.
Lars is a young polar bear who finds the big, frosty world just a little overwhelming. Then he meets Robbie, who's funny, friendly, and a seal!
