Episodes[]
In addition to the episodes premiering during its original run, three 30-minute long specials combining batches of episodes chronologically were also released. This was most likely done to better associate the series with the Descendants doll lines; these specials helped showcase which episodes had a specific doll line. The airdates of these specials are listed below:
- Wish Granted - December 13, 2015
- Neon Lights Ball - July 15, 2016
- Jewel-Bilee - March 3, 2017
The Wish Granted special skips episode 8, "Puffed Deliciousness", for unknown reasons. The Jewel-Bilee special is mistitled Jewel-Billiee on Disney+ Hotstar.

Music[]
Season 1[]
The songs in season 1 were featured as bonuses on the soundtrack of the first Descendants movie, which was released on July 31, 2015. Sofia Carson's cover of Rotten to the Core was used for the intro.

Season 2[]
The songs in season 2 were featured as bonuses on the Descendants 2 soundtrack, which was released on July 21, 2017. The only song not featured is Sofia Carson's Rotten to the Core, which is featured in the now shortened intro. Rather Be With You was featured in Descendants 2 as background music.
The music videos of these songs, which were originally uploaded onto YouTube by the official DisneyMusicVEVO account, are featured as episodes of the series after the respective episodes the songs appear in on Disney+. This was most likely done to increase the number of season two episodes from 15 to 18, to match season one's count. The dialogue parts of the music videos were dubbed into a select number of languages on the service.

International versions[]
Notes[]
- A majority of the show's dubs leave the songs in English. This situation occurs for all international dubbings of the Disney Descendants franchise in some form.
- This is the first piece of Disney Descendants media to be dubbed in Arabic, Cantonese, Hebrew, and Persian, despite the fact that the film trilogy was never dubbed in said languages.
- Additionally, the series does not have dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, despite the fact that film trilogy was dubbed and released in these languages in 2019.
