Despicable Me 2 is one of two Malay dubs of the film of the same name. Produced by Astro Productions, this dub premiered on HBO in Malaysia on July 28, 2014 alongside the original English version to coincide with the Eid al-Fitr (Hari Raya Puasa) holiday. Like in the HBO dub of Madagascar 3, the characters are voiced by regional celebrities.
