Digiview Entertainment (previously known as Digiview Productions) was an American home video distributor, with headquarters in New Jersey and disc manufacturing in Hong Kong.[1] It was known for its DVD releases of works that have fallen in the public domain, each sold at $1 at Wal-Mart and dollar stores.[2][3] It also distributed among others, the works of Burbank Films Australia and IFD Films and Arts.
History[]
The company was reportedly founded in 2004-01, as Digiview Productions.[4][5] It was resurrected as Digiview Entertainment in 2006. In 2008-10, the company was sued by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment over technology that allows publishers to include more than one language version of a movie on a single disc.[6][7]
