Doraemon, le chat cosmique (also known as Doraemon, le chat venu du futur for season 4-6) is the French dub of ドラえもん (1979) and ドラえもん (2005). It has previously aired on M6, Fox Kids and Boing; it is available on YouTube.
Broadcast history[]
The dub premiered on M6 on April 5, 2003[3], airing on Saturdays, but only 26 episodes aired and it was never successful, it also aired on Fox Kids.
It was also said to air on Club RTL in Belgium[4]. It also aired on TNTV in French Polynesia as part of the Iaorana Kids block, although schedules of the channel erroneously mentioned the anime as "Doeremon"[5].
From April 14, 2014, reruns of the dub began airing on Boing, and new episodes aired in September of that year.
The 2005 series premiered on November 3, 2014 and was aired as the fourth to sixth season of the dub. The last episode of the dub aired on March 12, 2015, but the show continued to air until January 1, 2018.[6]
Episode 41, La lampe à génie and L'antenne «devine-tout», was planned to air on Boing on September 13, 2014, but it was not broadcast and remains unaired.
Release history[]
On September 13, 2024, the 1979 series started being released on YouTube, utilizing its own masters. As such, unlike the Boing masters, the intro is shortened to 10 seconds from Japanese, and title cards are localized. Each episode uploaded is a single segment without credits. Episode 1 was uploaded that day at 4:00 PM CEST, with episode 2 released on Sunday, September 15, at 9:00 AM CEST. New episodes release every Friday and Sunday, with Sundays now designated for two-episode compilations since November 29, 2024.
