Trivia[]
- The final scene of the last episode has been cut abruptly for years, as it segued into a montage of scenes from the earlier Dragon Ball series with the theme song playing in the background.
- An urban legend for years claimed that a single rerun in early 2007 restored the final scene and used it as a special ending theme song, replacing the original audio with the Italian theme song overlaying the show's credits (extended to mention the voice actors for every single character from the whole franchise) on the left side of the screen. The only proof of this was a thumbnail of a long gone YouTube video that presumingly featured the aforemented scene, but a later research proved it was only a fanmade AMV.
- A true restoration of the final scene happened during a rerun on Italia 2 on January 20, 2021, which was actually advertised as a big event, and was kept in later reruns on the same channel. The new ending features newly recorded narration at the end, done by voice actor Massimo Triggiani, and appears to have the soundtrack re-edited over the visuals as the music doesn't sync up exactly like in the original version, and the sound effect of Goku's Gold Nimbus in the final scene is missing.
