El Chavo Animado (also known as El Chavo: la serie animada) is a Mexican animated television series produced by Televisa and Ánima Estudios. The series aired for 7 seasons, starting on October 21, 2006 and ending on June 6, 2014. Based on the 1971 comedy series El Chavo del Ocho, originally produced in the 70s and 80s, the episodes animated by El Chavo are animated versions of the episodes of the original series with librettos by Roberto Gómez Bolaños. This series inspired the creation of commercial products with the images of the characters, which include board games, sweets, video games, among others.

A 3D computer model is used for the atmosphere, although 2D drawings were used for the characters using Adobe Flash. However, this series was not the first attempt to root for El Chavo. Previously, some animated sequences with plasticine models, or caricatures for the presentation of sketches in the Chespirito program (1980 - 1995) which were already shown in the credits of the original series.
